ATJ did a Master’s degree in composition at Trinity Laban, and now performs his music in his band, sky coloured who made their debut release – Starting Time – in 2016, and followed it up with the in the small hours EP in November 2018. Two cover singles – of Nick Drake’s ‘Pink Moon’ and John Martyn’s ‘Solid Air’ – were released in support of Mental Health Awareness Week 2019, and a new original single – ‘Desire’ – was released at the end of that year.
In 2020, he wrote and produced a ten-part podcast series about meaning in pop songs: The Secret Life of Songs, which has received over 3,000 downloads to date, and is available to stream on all mainstream podcast platforms.
A new sky coloured EP is planned for release in 2021.
